[香港 HONG KONG] – 29, 30.11. & 01.12.2013
Clockenflap Multimedia Arts & Music Festival, commonly abbreviated to "Clockenflap", is an annual music and multimedia arts festival held in Hong Kong. It incorporates international, regional and local live music, film, art installations, digital arts, children's entertainment and animation.
Clockenflap 2013 is scheduled for 29 November to 1 December.
Clockenflap 2012 took place on Saturday-Sunday, 1-2 December 2012, at the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Founded in 2008 by Mike Hill, Jay Forster and Justin Sweeting, with additional support from a strong and dedicated team, Clockenflap's first and second appearances at Cyberport attracted 2,000 and 4,000 attendees respectively. In 2011, the festival moved to the West Kowloon Cultural District, a much larger and better-suited site. The festival was a huge success and attracted 18,000 visitors over the weekend. The organizers have faced every imaginable challenge, but with true Hong Kong spirit, have persevered and overcome the near-impossible.
Clockenflap has never been motivated by profit – it's always been about providing Hong Kong with the festival the people crave and deserve. Inspired by Fuji Rock, South by Southwest, and Glastonbury and with our success in showcasing the best up and coming artists as well as bringing major established acts to the city, Clockenflap is firmly established on the global festival map. This year the festival is set to expand once again! Tickets will be subsidized and early worm and student discounts will be available. Kids under 12 get in for free (full details and prices to be announced).
