Dub Temple Records ~ House of Shaolins Hong Kong x J-Hoon Album Launch
Dub Temple Record's premier audio/visual event 'House of Shaolins' is set to hit Hong Kong once again; this time to punctuate the label's 2013 Asia tour. A heavyweight lineup sees Hong Kong and Australian based artists unite for the launch of J-Hoon's debut release on the label, Slices and Stitches. The night will showcase Dub Temple Record's extensive roster with Science Project, Voodoo Dred, Hope One, Walrii, Provis, and J-Hoon playing a combination of forward thinking bass music, soulful treats and original production as Sujamma provides a backdrop of intricately woven visuals.
Dub Temple's roster includes artists from Australia, Japan, Germany, Philippines, America and Hong Kong; a perfect illustration of strength in diversity. Each artist brings their unique personal and cultural journey to the table through their sounds and visual performances, from headphone jams to sound system bangers, dark Balitmore/Jersey Club hybrid beats to lush post-dilla production and late-night live-instrumentation.
Having shared the stage and performed with some of electronic’s biggest names in today’s electronic world such as Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, Digital Mystiks, The Bug, Hermitude, Mount Kimbie and Tokimonsta, to name a few, Dub Temple are renowned for their quality in the industry and for their fight against monoculture and musical pigeon-holeing. As a result Dub Temple have developed a worldwide reputation for forward-thinking electronic music of all kinds, while keeping the Dub foundations of the bass-movement alive through remix culture and dub production.
With visual shows being a massive part of today’s club scene and live music entertainment, this night promises to pull you in all eyes and ears to a top electronic party experience.
